How to beat the Fireknight in Raid: Shadow Legends?
How to beat the Fireknight in Raid: Shadow Legends?
The Fireknight can be a tricky boss to beat but by using the right method will get you through the boss in no time!
The fire knight is a boss which applies a massive shield that you need to attack to bring it down to do some serious damage to the boss directly. The shield reduces 80% of incoming damage whilst it is up. So your goal is to knock it down and keep it down to offload some damage and bring down the boss.
Up till stage 6, the boss has a 5 hit shield then from stage 7 to stage 9 this increase to 7 hit shield. From 10 onwards until floor 21 you will need to take down a 10 hit shield and finally from 21 to 25 you will face a 12 hit shield.
Fireknight can drop some of the best artifacts in the game which will help you in the arena to crush your opponents and get into that elusive plat arena!
Some the best set from this boss are shield, immunity, crit damage and stun gear.
Strat 1
Multi-hit a1’s
This strat aims to break the shield down with the multi-hits then whilst the shield is down you should land decrease defence, reduce turn meter, heal reduction and nuke.
These abilities are key for this to work because without decrease defence you will take ages to kill the boss. Turn meter control is important so the shield stays down and he doesn’t do his big AOE nuke on you.
Heal reduction is a sleeper OP debuff which can make or break your run time as without it the Fireknight will heal a lot of the damage that you have just done.
Some MVP’s for this strat is Apothecary and Coldheart. Apothecary is one of the MVP’s because he has a 3 hit A1 which is so helpful when breaking the Fireknight’s shield, also the speed buff helps keep your team attacking whilst the shield is down and the turn meter abilities come back around quicker.
Coldheart is an MVP because of her massive turn meter control + damage. The heartseeker ability is a strong one for this dungeon boss.
Strat 2
Counterattack or Ally Attack
This strat aims to get as many hits on the shield as possible either by using an Ally attack skill champion or counter-attack buff on your team. Both are effective, one an offensive skill, and one a defensive skill.
Ally attacker such as Catacomb councillor will attack the Fire Knight alongside his allies all using the default A1 ability. This means you potentially break the shield really fast and start landing bigger skills from your team on the boss much faster.
A champion such as Skullcrusher places a counter-attack buff on your team so that when the Fire Knight attacks you you retaliate and your hits count towards the required hits to break the shield. With a Skullcrusher you won’t need as many multi-hit a1’s because you get counter-attack hits on the boss when he applies his shield. This is one of the safest ways to down the Fireknight but is very time consuming as you have to wait to be attacked to down the shield.
Having a Coldheart would not hurt in this build to decrease turn meter or anyone else that can do it. Having heal reduction is still very important as before so you don’t have to do the damage over and over again and her A1 4 hitter is amazing when paired with a counter-attack champion or ally attack champion.
Strat 3
Reflect damage
This strat aims to have a champion do the reflect damage ability such as FellHound. The reflect damage ability puts a buff on your team similar to the counter-attack. When your team is attacked you will return that damage 5 times into the shield so it will begin on 5 charges rather than 10. The damage it will do is minimal however the speed of you taking control of the Fire Knight improves massively and you will now have a chance to keep his shield off and get your debuffs on!
This is a slow run but effective!
Strat 4
Turn Meter Control
This strat aims to have a champion who never lets the Fire Knight take a turn ever! This is done most easily with champions such as Armiger & Alure. The hardest thing with this strategy is getting your turn meter control champions to the Fire Knight as they need a lot of stats, Crit Rate, Accuracy, Speed & HP, and if hit they will likely die very fast. To enable these champions you need plenty of speed and plenty of control from your team such as AOE stuns, Provokes, or Freezes.
This is one of the best approaches to beat the Fire Knight and Armiger is free to play friendly and strong elsewhere!
These are just some of the strategies to beat the Fireknight. Which one will you use? If you need more information watch the Fireknight video below and happy raiding!

Turn meter control has to be the most satisfying strategy for sure! Getting your squishy control champions through the waves can be tricky, though. Good article, now get your stun artifacts :D
Angar deserves a shoutout here with reflect damage and counter attack on himself taking 7 shields of with one hit – Void affinity kind of a must have for fireknight 20 if you dont have a coldheart like myself after 8 months into the game :P
Why on earth does Plarium put Unkillable opponents in FK? It’s really annoying to have to quit after 45 min of attacking the same character!
Overall, why do they put unkillable opponents in PVE content at all?
I was having a hell of a time beating lvl 20 until I rewatched your How to beat the Fire Knight Dungeon video again and swapped out my Chevalier for Valkyrie and I BEAT HIM!!
Thank you for the guides as always!
does anyone know how much defense the mobs have on fireknight 25? I thought I remembered seeing a spreadsheet at some point but I can’t find it online. (I’m trying to optimize my royal guard and seer for speed runs)

Retaliation armor on Apothecary worked like a charm!
