Ability Breakdown

Spike Storm
Attacks all enemies. Places a [Block Active Skills] debuff for 1 turn.

Spirit Rush – 3 Turn Cooldown
Attacks all enemies. Inflicts bonus damage for every turn remaining on all enemy skills’ cooldowns (20% damage for each turn of cooldown). Places a [Fear] debuff on enemies with no skills on cooldown.

Soul Burst – 3 Turn Cooldown
Attacks all enemies. Puts all enemy skills on cooldown. Fills Iragoth’s Turn Meter by 5% for every turn remaining on all enemy skills cooldowns.

Conjure Souls [Passive] – 5 turn Cooldown
Summons three minions at the start of the turn: one Eternal Priest then two Eternal Guards. Iragoth can have a maximum of 3 minions in battle at any time. Places an [Eternal Rage] buff on Iragoth for 2 turns if only one minion is summoned or no minions are summoned by this skill. This buff cannot be removed or blocked. The [Eternal Rage] buff increases Iragoth’s Speed and causes Iragoth to ignore [Unkillable], [Block Damage], [Shield] buffs and ignore 50% of the target’s DEF when attacking.

Consume Soul [Passive]
At the start of the turn, sacrifices an Eternal Priest, resets the cooldowns of Iragoth’s skills, and grants an Extra Turn. If there are no Eternal Priest’s on the team, sacrifices an Eternal Guard and heals Iragoth by 15% of Iragoth’s MAX HP. This skill will be on a 4-Turn cooldown at the start of the battle, and will activate and go on cooldown every 5 turns even if there are no Eternal Priests or Eternal Guards on the team.

Otherworldly [Passive]
Immune to [Stun], [Freeze], [Sleep], [Provoke], [Block Active Skills], [Block Passive Skills], [Fear], [True Fear], [Decrease SPD], [Poison] and [Heal Reduction] debuffs. Also immune to HP exchange effects, HP balancing effects and Turn meter reduction effects.

Almighty Strength [Passive]
Damage from skills that scale based on enemy MAX HP cannot exceed 10% of the boss’ MAX HP when attacking the boss

How to beat the boss!

spacer

Iragoth requires careful management of his allies. You don’t want to ignore them as this will give Iragoth his Eternal Rage buff but at the same time attempting to kill all allies at higher levels may result in taking too long to kill Iragoth. The best strategy is to kill the Eternal Priest first. This ensures the Consume Soul passive won’t grant Iragoth an extra turn and it also returns your skills by killing the priest. You will then want to ensure you kill 1 of the Eternal Guards. You can leave 1 Eternal Guard alive. This will mean Iragoth will heal 15% every so often but it will allow you to put more damage towards Iragoth.

Additionally, you will want to bring some form of cleanse or Block Debuffs ability to avoid receiving Block Active Skills debuff. This will avoid your allies becoming provoked by the Eternal Guards.

Once you have managed to deal with the allies, you will then need to mitigate and deal with the damage Iragoth does to your team. Bringing an A1 Decrease Attack is essential otherwise you will find the damage output too great due to the Soul Burst and Spirit Rush multipliers. You should also avoid champions that bring skills with long cooldowns as this will increase his damage for each cooldown by 20%. You can opt for a Decrease Attack champion on a non-A1 ability but you will need to bring enough Resistance on this champion to ensure the skills are not put on Cooldown by Iragoth’s Soul Burst ability.

One thing to note: Iragoth’s abilities themselves can be put on cooldown (this must be done by a Warlord style effect and cannot be done through a Block Active Skills debuff as Iragoth is Immune to this in his Otherworldy Passive). Like all Dragons in Raid, he is immune to any Turn Meter or Decrease Speed effects. He is also immune to poisons so the only true way to deal damage will be skills, Warmaster or Giant Slayers procs and HP Burn.

Main things to Avoid:

  1. Champions with long skills cooldowns: Each turn of your cooldowns on your champions increases Iragoth’s Spirit Rush by 20% so avoid excessive cooldowns.
  2. Glass cannon builds: Iragoth outputs significant damage even with Decrease ATK therefore you will need your team to be reasonably tanky and capable of taking hits.
  3. Low Healing comps: You will need to bring some form of self-healing or skill healing to your comp. You will take a large amount of damage and you cant quickly burst through the encotuner.

Beating Iragoth can be done in a few ways and we have 2 examples of team compositions below! First let’s cover the minimum stats you should aim to hit.

For a full stat breakdown, use our handy Raid Stages Tool which displays enemy stats for every encounter in the game. If you are not already a member of the HellHades community, you can sign up for a Free Account to gain access to this tool. Below we will outline the minimum stats you should aim for:

The key stats you should consider are Accuracy and Speed on your team alongside good HP/Def to survive the damage. If you have champions with skills you want to use, you should look to put enough resistance on the champion to ensure Iragoth cannot reduce their skill cooldowns.

Rotation 2 – Normal

You will face Iragoth on Floor 40, 80 and 120 Normal and is Void Affinity. To be successful, aim for:

  • Speed: 161+
  • Accuracy: 125+
  • Resistance: 275+

Depending on which strategy you choose, you should ensure you have enough HP and Defence to survive this encounter. Generally we advise at least 30k HP and 2800 Defence for Normal.

Rotation 2 – Hard

You will face Iragoth on Floor 40, 80 and 120 Hard and is Void Affinity. To be successful, aim for:

  • Speed: 251+
  • Accuracy: 355+
  • Resistance: 475+

Depending on which strategy you choose, you should ensure you have enough HP and Defence to survive this encounter. Generally we advise at least 50k HP and 3500 Defence for Hard.

Team Compositions

Strategy 1: Tank and Control

The idea behind this strategy is effectively to out heal the damage that’s incoming, while slowly killing the boss with HP burn and Warmaster/Giant Slayer Damage.

The main thing about this is utilizing the minimum resistance on both Brogni and Lydia to ensure that you are always able to use Lydias A2 and Brogni’s A3 to buff your team and debuff the boss.

Aside from Lydia and Brogni, the rest of the team do not require resistance at all, you need to ensure that ATK down is up at all times on the boss as him hitting you without can and will be fatal, while maintaining the rotation of killing 1 add every time he spawns new – this will ensure that Iragoth never gets buffed.

MVP’s for this Strategy

Drexthar Bloodtwin: Passively Applying HP burn to the enemies will really help you to whittle the boss down, reducing the time you will spend fighting and surviving!

Jareg: Absolutely great for this as not only does he bring the very much needed A1 Decrease ATK, he also helps your team with healing with his passive ability to provide continuous heals.

Brogni: Brogni’s A3 is absolutely amazing for sustain on this fight with large shields and passive healing and Block debuffs, he also provides a resistance aura that will really help hit the required thresholds in your team.

Lydia: Her A3 is truly great for this, as not only does it provide you with offensive debuffs, it also gives your whole team Strengthen and Increase Speed which in turn will help you keep up with the incoming damage, and allow you to take turns faster than the boss.

Vrask: The main reason that Vrask is so strong on this fight, is because of his healing all coming from his A1, all you need to do is build him with incredibly high health, 100% Critical Rate and then speed, ideally you will put Vrask into Counter Attack masteries and if possible Revenge Accessories as this will amplify your healing output significantly. Because of the fact that it’s Vrask’s A1 that is used, you do not need any resistance at all.

Champion Alternatives

Not every player will have this exact team, but there are very good options for some of these champions. Below we detail viable alternatives:
Vrask: Cardiel, Scyl of the Drakes, Riho Bonespear
Lydia: Venus, Krisk, Stag Knight, Tayrel
Brogni: Siphi, Warlord, Duchess Lilitu
Jareg: Peydma, Krisk, Sepulcher Sentinal, Altan, Crypt-King Graal, Tayrel, War Mother, Maneater, Nekhret the Great
Drexthar Bloodtwin: There may be other Damage options, however, Drexthar makes this incredibly easy due to his passive damage.

Strategy 2: Disable Iragoth’s Skills

The idea around this strategy is to play the bosses own game against him, Iragoth is a boss that you’re able to increase Cooldown Duration of, with Champions such as Warlord.

You will still need to bring damage, and Decrease ATK into this team as well as buffs such as Increase Speed to ensure that you are going fast enough to permanently lock out Iragoth.

MVP’s for this Strategy

Warlord: Warlord is renowned for his A3 locking out enemies, and this is where it shines in Doom Tower. This strategy almost relies on having a very fast Warlord to ensure that his A3 is always up before the bosses Cooldowns cycle back around.

Champion Alternatives

Not every player will have this exact team, but there are very good options to some of these champions. Below we detail viable alternatives

Warlord: Elegaius, Basher
Siphi: Duchess Lilitu, Arbiter, Seeker, Deacon Armstrong
Drexthar: Any damage dealer, HP burn is ideal here (Ninja is great for boss killing)
Crypt-King Graal: Jareg, Peydma, Krisk, Sepulcher Sentinal, Altan, Tayrel, War Mother, Maneater, Nekhret the Great
Lydia the Deathsiren: Venus, Krisk, Stag Knight, Tayrel, Dracomorph

Farming Iragoth Rewards forge materials to make the Bloodthirst set. You can read about all the artifact sets you can earn from Doom Tower in our Doom Tower Artifacts Guide.

If you want to Farm Iragoth, we recommend our Tank and Control team. It will be an incredibly safe team to farm with, however, it is not the fastest method – but that can be ignored due to its high win ratio.
