Comments on: Arena – Don’t lose the speed race in Raid: Shadow Legends

My actual arena team is:

Gorgorab (243 Speed)
Dhukk (192 Speed)
Abbess (184 Speed)
Kael (179 Speed)

I got some questions on this.
1. Should I replace Gororab with a Khatun? I got 2 unleveled ones, so I have to spend much time to rank one up and equip her. I would do this, if she is the much better choice as lead
2. What speed is necessary to reach gold 1? (I am stuck between silver 3 and 4)
3. Another possibility would be, to replace Kael with a Khatun or a seeker (I am speed limited here because I want to use him on an unkillable cb team)

In reply to pumpkinguy31. It is not. You just dislike it. THERE'S A DIFFERENCE. It's a good mechanic. Bulky teams work great as defenses, but this is the current meta. Litterally, speed is king. Raid is defined by it, and it is a good mechanic. Go play a different game.

In reply to pcdesergio. Just farm the boss of palace of Aravia bin brutal to get double roll speed 5 star speed gear. Should get you to about 240 speed minimum.

In reply to pcdesergio. I'm in Silver 4 with an uncuttable 269 speed High Khatun, but my defense loses too much to let me get to Gold. The current matchmaking system is dumb. I have 660 k player power and is going up against very strong opponents.

Or more specifically, remove champions that ‘fill turn meter’. Get rid of that garbage. Then it can go back to the more random back and forth that matches used to be at lower ranks, where one of my champions would fire off, then one of theirs, then one of mine, etc. But when the entire enemy team fires off, and then their turn meter fills up *during* the combo and they fire a SECOND time and I still haven’t had a single skill go off on my team… its just not fun. Its not fun at all. Its a bad mechanic.

To be perfectly frank, this whole ‘speed’ mechanic is kinda dumb. It simply becomes an arm race to see who can get the best speed gear on a single champion. If you win the arms race on that ONE champion, the rest hardly even matters! Why? Because the way this game is set up, there is too much damage and not enough survival. The arena fights don’t last enough turns, and if you go first, you basically win every time. Even if your initial combo doesn’t nuke the enemy team, they will always be one tempo behind—your 2nd round will finish the deal.

Come on admit it, this is kinda dumb. There could be a lot more intelligent back and forth turns in an arena fight if it wasn’t such a nukefest.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the speed mechanic completely redesigned because to be frank as it currently stands its really boring and turns me off of arena fights. If I see a team with a speed hero I suspect or know beats my speed hero, I don’t even fight it. Its unwinnable. Literally nothing I can do. NOTHING. And that is dumb as fck. Even if I have champions who could combo something beautiful and intricate, it literally doesn’t matter, because the fight is lost in a single turn, to a single champion.

One dimensional. Bad. It should be better.

im between bronce iv and silver ii. Im in the arbiter’s mission of get silver III and its almost imposible. I even choose people who doesnt have an speed aura leader, with my 220 speed high katuhn and they beat my speed. I dont even know how aren’t they in gold… it’s so frustrating…
