Champion Spotlight – Armiger
Champion Spotlight – Armiger
What’s the best way to spend a Million silver? Remove the gear from one champ? Roll a piece of gear from 1 to 12? Mix a couple of affinity pots?
How about buying a champion? Then having change leftover to book them and gear them?
Introducing the *uncommon-ly* good — Armiger
Do you need to turn meter control? He’s got it. You need someone to stay dead? Done. Damage scaling to Enemy max HP to kill those bosses faster? Easy.
Abilities:
A1 – Riposte [DEF]
Attacks 1 enemy. Decreases the Turn Meter by 30% if this attack is critical.
Level 2: Damage +5%
Level 3: Damage +5%
Level 4: Damage +5%
Level 5: Damage +5%
A2 – Lay to Rest [DEF][Enemy MAX HP] (Cooldown: 3 turns)
Attacks 1 enemy. Damage inflicted is proportional to DEF and increases according to enemy MAX HP. Enemies killed by this skill cannot be revived.
Level 2: Damage +5%
Level 3: Damage +5%
Level 4: Damage +5%
Level 5: Damage +5%
Level 6: Cooldown -1
We normally overlook lower rarity champions because of all the shiny legendaries that just look better and have way more words on their skills. When you have a champ like Armiger and watch him go, you’ll think he should have a gold border.
The positives.
Cheap to book? Check!
Cheap to ascend? Check!
Easy to gear? Double-check!! – Remember, STATS not SETS, if you need to put Critical Rate gloves on, do it.
How do we do this then? Well, we need Critical Rate and Accuracy for the A1 (as we do for any skill that decreases turn meter) and plenty of speed to go before the enemies. Being defence based, stack that high, it’ll keep him alive and help him do more damage.
He works perfectly against single target high HP bosses (looking at you spider!) Keeping them down while your team does their job.
Now, the negatives.
Being Spirit affinity does hurt his overall usefulness as there are lots of magic affinity champs out there, weak hits stop us from keeping them down.
There are champions and bosses that are immune to turn meter decreasing effects, or where they’re not as effective as usual.
Being uncommon, his stats aren’t the greatest even when maxed out.
Overall? You won’t have any regrets if you build him, he puts rares to shame, most epics and even some legendaries.
His kit is simple, he just does the job and does it very well. He’s a great addition to dungeon teams.
