Raid: Shadow Legends Guide – Tips, Cheats and Strategies

What is considered a “Cheat” in Raid Shadow Legends?

In Raid, cheating has come and gone throughout the times, from the spotlight at least – it’s always been an underlying issue that rears its ugly head from time to time, and it’s especially easy to detect in Platinum Arena at the weekly reset.

Cheating as a whole is manipulating the game and/or game code to get an unfair advantage over others,  which can come in many different forms.

Some people consider the use of 3rd party tools such as Auto Clickers and FPS limiting tools to speed up gear rolling cheating.

What is considered ok to use?

Plarium has stated in the past, tools such as Auto Clickers are allowed as long as they don’t provide complete automatic upgrades of accounts, in other words – playing the game completely for you.

We’ve seen huge use of tools such as RSL Helper, created by Farbstoff, Bluestacks, and our very own Optimiser in the past, along with various other Auto Clickers – all of which are okay and allowed.

Farbstoff is very considerate of Plarium with the implementation of features to RSL Helper, in the fact that everything that is added to the tool is approved first, this came about when there was an issue with the tool tracking your mercy system by directly reading the game code – which Plarium didn’t like!

Why do people use tools in Raid Shadow Legends?

The main reason people use tools in Raid Shadow Legends is simple, quality of life – the time spent in this game, to actually complete everything required to stay on top of all content is ridiculous.

Using things such as Auto Clickers really helps manage that time, as you can farm content during times where you wouldn’t be able to play, whether that be whilst you’re at work, or even overnight. This allows you to spend the valuable time you do have, focussing on other things, such as building teams, regearing Champions, farming arena, Clan Boss, the list goes on.

Arena Cheating:

So this one is a VERY big topic currently, with the recent discovery that people are once again abusing speed hacking in Platinum Arena reset, by speeding up their game – allowing them to farm opponents faster than others can – meaning a faster point gain, allowing them to finish ahead of others.

However, in the past there have been various ways that people have cheated, such as Clans offering a Platinum boosting service, where they would repeatedly attack and lose to the buyer, pushing their points way ahead, on a mass scale. This has been fixed, however.

Another way that needs to be considered, is the buying and selling of accounts, effectively bypassing the time and money required to make an account Platinum viable, by simply buying it – which is against Plariums Terms of Service, this is cheating. But this gives people a huge unfair advantage over those as they spend a fraction of the amount and can just bypass everyone else’s progression.

Plarium’s actions against cheating in Raid Shadow Legends:

Plarium has addressed cheating several times in the past, they did manage to fix the previous way of boosting in the Platinum arena by capping the number of times you are able to gain points from defensive wins.

They also addressed the Speed Hacking situation, which included banning 2 Content Creators from the CC Program, for showing the use of it in videos. There’s now an anti-cheat system in the game that detects how fast you are completing certain tasks in-game, IF you trigger this, your result will not be completed and you may risk being banned.

Plarium has always been against the buying and selling of accounts, as it is completely against their ToS and actively will move to ban these accounts if they are able to identify them, however with it being such a large market it’s very hard for them to pinpoint a large majority of these accounts.

I’ve always wondered about account giveaways. If buying an account is cheating what about giveaways? Many content creators do account giveaways. Do you get approval from Plarium before doing those?

I’ve never really understood why anyone would want to start with an already-built account. Building things up is the whole fun of the game. The whole thrill is working your way up and finally managing to reach milestones. If the work is all done, and you just start at the end, you’re not getting the fun of the game.
It’s like reading the ending of a 12-book series without reading all of the books.
