RAID QoL Changes INCOMING!
RAID QoL Changes INCOMING!
Today we have some amazing news, Plarium has been teasing some Quality of Life changes for quite some time now, especially in the Tavern, but it’s been a long time coming, we’ve definitely had to wait for our fair share for this one to come to light.
But today we finally got the scoop on what’s coming in the latest update (February 2022)
These are a massive step in the right direction, while point 3 could definitely use a bit of tweaking to be more impactful, all of the changes around the Tavern will be absolutely HUGE for our time in the game.
QoL Changes:
(1) Tavern Improvements
There are a few things that should be mentioned:
We’re planning to add a new “Show Upgradable Only” filter that will hide all the Champions who are not eligible for a specific upgrade.
Thus, depending on the chosen Tab, it will show you only the Champions eligible for Leveling Up, Ranking Up, Ascension or Upgrading their Skills.
Important note – make sure to flick the filter off after you’ve chosen the Champion for Ranking Up in case you’re about to use other Champions for that purpose.
Also, once the update is live, you’ll be able to switch between Ascending and Descending order of Champions for easier navigation.
And, the icing on the cake is that all XP Brews will be grouped into a single slot according to their Affinity, so no more scrolling through all of them to find the kind you need.
Moreover, the process of using XP Brews will be optimized thanks to a special slider to regulate the number of Brews you would like to use.
You can also hit the “MAX” button that will be added along with the slider to add as many XP Brews as are needed to Level Up the chosen Champion to the maximum level their current Rank allows.
(2) Team Setup
The Tavern is not the only feature that is going to be updated. We’re also planning to make some positive changes to the Team Presets.
First, we will expand the existing PvE Saved Teams into 3 distinct categories: General [Campaign, Dungeons, Demon Lord]; Faction Wars; and Doom Tower. While HYDRA and PvP will retain their own Saved Teams.
Thus, you will get a total of 5 categories.
Each of those categories will get some extra slots! So you will have 15 Saved Team slots instead of 10.
Another pleasant change is that after the update, whenever you remove a Champion from a Slot in a Saved Team, the Slot will remain empty without the rest of the team shifting. So no more re-selecting the entire team just because you wanted to give it a new Leader. The process of Team selection will be much more convenient.
(3) Super Raids in Doom Tower
And one more QoL improvement that is aimed to decrease the amount of time you need to farm content you’ve already beaten. We’re planning to test the waters and make Super Raids available for Doom Tower.
Super Raids will be enabled for the whole duration of one Doom Tower rotation and only for Boss floors after they’ve been beaten the first time.
The mechanics are identical to Super Raids in the Dungeons, which use twice the resources, but give twice the rewards in the time of just one run.
Please, keep in mind that this feature may not be available for each and every rotation.

I appreciate all of this, but I wish they would also let us create a “Food” category for champions.
The Champions List is ultra bad. Give me filters for the dungeons and (as said by Luke) one for food. Especially as a beginner I’m SOOO afraid to use a champion for food that I wanted to build for a battle group. I use the vault but still have to transfer them in and out to upgrade them.
To avoid using the wrong Champions as food, try this out. Find your food champion and choose a specific build icon to only use for food. It displays the icon on the champion overview page as well as in the tavern. I use the “speed build” icon for food so I know I can boot em.
Or just Ascend them 1 level.. lot’s of ways to avoid this..
QOL changes are great… although why the need to “test the waters” for DT super raids? Just implement it like normal where we have the ability to deselect it.. and move on!
And you can also use the lock on champions you want to avoid sacrificing by mistake.
It locks theme and if you press them it asks you if your sure you want to unlock them
