Why Scyl of the Drakes is so impactful for early accounts
Scyl of the Drakes is a FREE Login reward that you get after just 6 months of playing the game, while this may seem like a long time – it really is not, during this time you’ll be spending a lot of time farming campaign to build up your roster and taking baby steps into dungeons while learning how to build for other areas of the game.
By the time you get Scyl, you should be in a place where you’re looking to push into higher stages of dungeons, and this is where she will be there to lead the way for you!
But what makes her so good? Let’s have a look at her kit then break it down.
Skills
A1 – Drake’s Swiftness [DEF]
Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 20% chance of placing a 30% [Decrease SPD] debuff for 2 turns. Also has a 30% chance of decreasing the target’s Turn Meter by 15%.

Level 3: Damage +5%
Level 4: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
A2 – Wingbeat Flurry [DEF] (Cooldown: 4 turns)

Level 2: Damage +10%
Level 3: Damage +10%
Level 4: Buff/Debuff Chance +5%
Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
Level 6: Cooldown -1

Level 2: Cooldown -1
Level 3: Cooldown -1
Boundless Life [Passive]
Heals all allies by 10% of their MAX HP at the start of each turn. Also places a 30% [Increase SPD] buff on a random ally for 2 turns.
So, in regards to why she’s so good – there’s no clear-cut answer as it is not one aspect of her kit that stands out. Due to her passive, she will bring you constant healing for your team – along with huge control with her AOE Stun A2. Lastly, if you do lose a team member, have no fear, Scyl will pick them up in no time with her 4 turn Cooldown revive.
There are so many ways to build Scyl which adds to why she’s so good as she can be used in so many situations.
Typical Builds:
You have your basic all speed, stacking Def, ACC and as much speed as you can get to cycle through her turns, healing your champs, picking up anyone who drops, and getting some stuns out.
You have the Relentless Scyl of the Drakes, same stat priority as above, relying on relentless procs to lower CD’s further and get the all-important heals out.
Finally, you have the Stun Scyl of the Drakes, giving you a much better chance to cc waves all while cycling through her skills and keeping your team up.
You might be getting Scyl of the Drakes when you don’t have the best gear depending on your RNG (Relentless being the hardest to get), look at what you have and run her through the optimiser and see what you can get.
Build her solidly, and upgrade what you can when you can, she’s a champ that will help you progress and sneak into some teams you wouldn’t expect.
Overall, Scyl will really enhance any account, many use her even in the very endgame, she is a key to completing the Barbarian Faction Wars, and incredibly handy for many Doom Tower Hard teams!
She is worth every single book, however, will work just fine without. Make sure you head over to our Champion Page for Scyl for our mastery recommendations to find a set that suits YOUR build!

I’m closing up to Scyl now, and I can’t wait to get her! She seems awesome and will definitvly help my spider team (Mordecai HP burn) with healing, control and revives.
Have this over-rated noob champ on 5 accounts eating in the vault.. all have basic unkillable teams which you should easily have by day 180 if you play content.. her dumb passive throws it out.. much prefer doompriest as she is basically the same passive but much better.. have better cc champs and better heals..
Would book my duchess and rector any day over this scrub champ 🤣🤣🤣
Soooo….she’s not good for an unkillable team in Clan Boss. Got it. For most other places, amazing champ.
